Further Information Completion of the modules detailed below allow the candidate to join a recognised certification body and self certificate their electrical work as defined by part P of the building regulations.
Part P - Defined Scope Scheme Component Exchange This is the core assessment which is a prerequisite to the modules below. The course will cover the following subjects:- Applicable Building, Electrical & Safety Regulations - Pre-work survey! inspection - Safe isolation procedures - Earthing and bonding requirements - Electrical test procedures - Cable, component and fitting selection Installation and replacement of electrical components and fittings - Recording of electrical test results, completion of certification and notification requirements. The price includes supply of the lEE On-Site Guide for BS7671 16th Edition Regulations. Central Heating - Wiring Installation Training and assessment in electrical installation required for central heating. This covers the inspection and testing required for the installation of central heating. Part P - Defined Scope Scheme Central Heating - Wiring Installation Training and assessment in electrical installation required for central heating. This covers the inspection and testing required for the installation of central heating. Power Wiring Level C Installing and/or re-routing cables to form suitable outlet connections e.g. fused spur and to replace damaged cables. Power level C is for addition to an existing system only. This level would allow installers to replace a power fitting or add a new spur into an existing ring main. Part P - Defined Scope Scheme Power Wiring Level B Installing and/or re-routing cables to form suitable outlet connections e.g. fused spur and to replace damaged cables. Power level B is for adding a new single power circuit direct from the consumer unit. This would include for example; electric showers, immersion heaters, cooker circuits. Lighting Circuits Level B + C For the installations and replacement of lighting circuits. Level B + C would include the replacement of a lighting unit and the installation of a new single lighting circuit direct from the consumer unit.
